1 Year Ago.....

One year ago today marks the 1st anniversary of my fire.

In the month that followed, everything that could change in my life, did. It seemed like my whole life stood up and did a complete 180.

I had to move home, something that tested my pride (and my patience at times), but it didn't take me long to see the advantages that would come with this decision.

My relationship with Dan changed as well. We, in some ways, took a bit of a step back. We went from total and complete freedom to a small amount of restriction.

We got through it and got engaged in February. May was the beginning of us living together.

So now here it is, a year later. The changes were numerous but necessary.

I'm so grateful I have you guys and Dan backing me up. Without you, I'm not sure I could have done this.

Erica, So proud of you for trying with this group again, it's a rough bunch. But I promise to do my best.
So the Canavans just got back from Minnesota with Jess and Brad. Had a good time with my MN family. Summer is now slowing down for us, which we really love. Last summer was a lot, but ended perfect. Hope all is well with everyone.
Erica, I am here for anything you need for the wedding. Let me know.

A Return to Posting

Well people, it's high time we get back into doing this. I'm updating everything I can at the moment. (Adding new pics, a new background, updating the blog, etc.) I'd like see you all do the same.

Let's see, what's new on my end...

Well, Dan and I have been cohabitating for almost two months now and I'm happy to report all is well in Maryland Heights!

We' re almost a year from our wedding date! I've got the majority of the planning done and we've started booking vendors. It's going beautifully thus far.

As you all know, Dan's finished school and is now working at Touchpoint Autism with Autistic adults. It's trying at times but he's dealing very well. We're hoping to see him get a teaching position next year.

Maya is gone... Yes, I gave her up. After an ugly 2+ week stand off with Dan, I gave her up.

Now we have Griswold who is a huge SOB but we love him.

I'm back working part time at Sunglass Hut. It gets tiring at times but overall, it's a better place to be.

Summer is upon us. It's nearly July already, I can't believe it. Time really is flying.
